The UBCflow Facility is dependant on user fees. However, we aim to keep the user fees to a minimum to promote the use of the facility and help researchers.
The present model allows PIs to purchase an instrument and then place it inside the UBCflow Facility where we will maximize its use and collect user fees to cover future service contracts and repairs. This model enables multiple instruments to be accessible to all researchers at UBC and for all instruments to be well maintained. Should an instrument be placed within a specific lab due to heavy use, we can arrange support for that instrument in exchange for access by UBCflow core users.

The UBCflow Facility invoices users on a quarterly basis for all instruments other than the CyTOF instrument (see below).

Flow Cytometry analysis
- $40/hr. ($50/hr assisted) UBC
- $70/hr ($90/hr assisted) Industry: a minimum of of one hour booking and cancellation less than 24hrs will be billed for 50% of the time booked.
Flow Cytometry Cell Sorting
- $80/hr for UBC campus: a minimum of one hour booking.
- $150/hr for Industry: a minimum of one hour booking.
- cancellation less than 12hrs will be billed for 50% of the time booked.
